Is 2022 a good time to get started in real estate investing?

There are four reasons people don’t get started in real estate investing. And I’m going to show you the number one reason that covers all four of those.

What are the four reasons people don’t get started in real estate?

Investing number one, they don’t get started because they don’t know enough.
They’re like, oh, I’m scared because I’m not sure what’s going to happen.

Number two. They don’t have enough money. Oh, I don’t have five hundred thousand dollars to go put in a house

Number 3. They don’t have the right relationship. They don’t know who to contact.
If they get a deal, what do they do with the deal?

And number four is their reputation. They’re not seen as an authority.

Nobody wants to talk to you about something kind of interesting, but put all those together and they all fall under the big key topic of fear, a type-0 fear.

Their fear, fear is what keeps people from real estate investing. It’s that simple.

Let me tell you a quick story.

When I was younger, I had the side of my head ripped off by a dog. Literally, my skull was hanging out of my head, skin, whatever you want.

I felt for this dog. The dog lost his house like a poor dog, you know, I put my arms around it and it thought I was attacking it. So it attacked me.

I was rushed to the hospital, all these things. I still got a big scar down the side of my head.

That moment could have created fear for the rest of my life. I could have been afraid of dogs for the rest of my life, but I couldn’t allow that to happen.

A few years later. We were around dogs again and I started thinking, is this dog going to rip my head off? Literally, as a kid. That’s what I’m thinking.

But what I did instead is I started to research how to be around Dogs, how to take care of dogs, how to talk to dogs.

The more I researched, The more I learned about the dog, the less I was afraid of it within a few years. I’ve decided I was going to face my fear, and I found the biggest dog on my block and I went to the fence where the dog was, and I put my hand over to pet the dog.

Now, don’t suggest doing that. Don’t do that. Please don’t do that. But my point is, I faced my fear.

Sometimes, you just got to do the first deal to get over that fear hump.

One of the reasons I got started in real estate investing is because I realized there’s a money opportunity. But more than that. There’s a community. There’s learning.

It’s something always, someone has an opportunity. And something that’s always going to be a need in our world. Someone always needs a place to live.
